Nintendo announced that Annapurna Interactive’s space exploration simulator Outer Wilds will make its way to Nintendo Switch this summer. A release date has not been confirmed yet.
The Outer Wilds, not to be confused with Obsidian Entertainment’s The Outer Worlds, is a space simulator where players have 22 minutes to explore before the universe is engulfed in a supernova. The game’s loop is very reminscent of The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask.
The game received a bevy of praise following its 2019 launch on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It’s even won some awards, including Best Indie Game at the 2019 Golden Joystick Awards.
