The adventure game Tales from the Borderlands is now available for Nintendo Switch, and for a limited time you can get it at a discounted price. You can find it in the eShop for $20. This price will last until 11:59 PM PT on April 13 / 2:59 AM ET on April 14, after which it will go back up to $25.
Like other Telltale releases, Tales from the Borderlands is a narrative-driven episodic game. It was originally released in parts, but this new release includes all five episodes at once. It’s also available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.
As the name suggests, Tales from the Borderlands takes place in Gearbox’s Borderlands universe, between the events of Borderlands 2 and Borderlands 3. It stars dual protagonists: Rhys, a Hyperion employee who idolizes the late Handsome Jack, and Fiona, a con-artist on the trail of a Vault Key. The adventure crosses familiar characters and locales like Moxxi, Zer0, and of course, Claptrap.
GameSpot’s original 2015 review gave the game a 9/10 for its powerful moments and weighty choices. It had been removed from digital stores as part of Telltale’s shutdown, but Gearbox and Take-Two announced it was coming back in a February episode of the Borderlands Show.
